Zerowatt

  • Jacob Tardien created the Zerowatt collective in 2003 to produce independent music. He composed and arranged the music, then asked singers to add their musical touch and personality.

The first album If I was released in 2004 and includes songs with Hugh Coltman, Spleen and Austine.

For the second album, Jacob Tardien collaborated with soul and hip hop artists such as Sandra Nkaké, Gérald Toto and rap singer Kay Steez.

In 2015, two Zerowatt songs with Kay Steez were used for the soundtrack of The Other Side, a documentary film selected at the Cannes Film Festival in the category “Un certain regard”.
